About Cynthia
I love to work with clients to achieve levels of flexibility and relaxation that may have been missing from their busy lives.
I’ve worked as a Trainer since I was 10 years old when I started a camp for kids in our neighbourhood in Louisville, KY. I’ve never looked back, training in various fields from Interior Landscape Design to Interior Design, specialising in Leadership and Management, Retail Sales and Furniture Construction, and Historical Designs. I have been an International Trainer for over 35 years working in China, Thailand, the Dominican Republic, the UK, the US, Australia and New Zealand. Most recently I spent 10 years working as a Senior Delivery Trainer for the Ministry of Education teaching a variety of online courses. I have had an active yoga practice for that entire time and can’t imagine life without it.
My more than 35 years of personal yoga practice has been an integral part of my life. I have practiced Ananda, Anusara, Ashtanga, Bikram, Hatha, Hot, Iyengar, Jivamukti, Kripalu, Kundalini, Laughter, Naam, Power Vinyasa, Restorative, Sivananda, the Barkan Method, Viniyoga, and Yin Yoga and love them all! I have also studied various pranayama, meditation techniques and chanting to deepen my practice. I graduated from an amazing 2-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield in February 2021.
In 2008 I completed two, 200-hour teacher trainings and was certified as a yoga teacher by both Lotus Gardens Yoga School in Sherman, CT, USA and the Hot Yoga of New Zealand in Nelson. I also received specialty training in yoga for children from Growing Lotus Kids in Norwalk, CT, USA and in Restorative Yoga from Inspire Yoga, Nelson, NZ. I embark on my 300-hour certification in August 2021 – March 2022.
Empowering others to live more vibrantly is an ongoing passion of mine.
Additional certifications include:
Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher since 2021
Health Practitioner through the Institute of Integrated Nutrition since 2017
HeartMath Coach Mentor since 2015
“Cynthia has created the ideal class to rest, relax and recharge. Her restorative sessions are peppered with core exercises, flexibility, as well as luxurious aromatherapy. Classes often begin and end with mindful reflections on kindness and compassion. By the end of each class, you feel totally relaxed like a wet noodle.”

“Cynthia’s restorative yoga class offers my body and mind a true whole system experience; breathing through movement, stretching through mindful encouragement, relaxing into soft song and beautiful scents – all the while calming my heart and soul. This yoga class is a remedy to life’s stressors and ever so restorative.”
Lori Brudvik Lindner
“I have been practicing yoga with Cynthia on and off for four years. She is an exceptional teacher – warm, kind, intuitive, and always explains and demonstrates clearly. She reminds people to go at their own pace, and also encourages them to go a little further, to find a little more stretch or relaxation. To me, she is both joyous and calm, and I hear her voice guiding me even when I practice at home. I couldn’t ever hope for a better teacher.”
